About us
Working at the IFI means an opportunity to be dynamic, creative and part of a community that is passionate about what they do and values mutual trust and respect. We offer a safe and inclusive environment for our team, and are always open to employee feedback. We recognise the need for flexibility when it comes to work, which is why we offer hybrid working options (where a position allows), flexible start and finish times, flexible leave options and policies that promote equality and inclusion.
Our Values
Our values reflect what is important to us at the IFI. They guide our efforts, define our culture and shape the way we approach our core activities – Exhibit, Preserve and Educate.
Our core values are:
Your voice matters
We believe that a company is nothing without its people. We work continuously to engage with and listen to our employees through a number of initiatives such as our annual employee survey, our staff forum and regular staff town hall meetings.

Perks and Benefits
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is something that the IFI places huge emphasis on and is very much a part of who we are as an organisation, from both a staff perspective and in our programming. We work hard to build a diverse and inclusive environment in which people feel they belong. We are constantly evaluating and re-evaluating our process to ensure that EDI is a top priority. Some of our initiatives in this area include:
The IFI is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. If you need assistance, or an accommodation, as part of the recruitment process please let us know in advance by contacting jobs@irishfilm.ie.
Open Doors
The IFI partners with Open Doors which offers opportunities to marginalised members of society by creating pathways to work through training, education, employment and entrepreneurship. Through Open Doors, we work with refugees, asylum seekers, non-native English speakers, young people under 25 with educational barriers, and people with disabilities.
Development and opportunities
We actively encourage our staff to apply for internal vacancies and advertise all our vacancies internally to ensure everyone is aware of potential development opportunities. We use pay scales to ensure that people can see progress as they develop in their careers with the IFI. All employees have access to apply for relevant training related to their objectives for the year.
