PROGRAMME ONE: PLACES FOR PEOPLE
This dynamic documentary, made to celebrate European Year of Architectural Heritage 1975, visits over 50 architectural locations around the country and “A Future for Our Past”, a children’s architectural exhibition, attended by President Cearbhall Ó Dálaigh. The film also shows the children of St. Mary’s School and Home for the Female Blind of Ireland visiting The Holy Cross Abbey.

PROGRAMME TWO: BUILDING FOR BOOKS
Though commissioned by Trinity College Dublin as a fundraiser for the Berkeley Library and with extensive discussion of the history, architecture and collections of the Old Library, this film also provides a rare insight into student life in Dublin in the 1950s – at work and at play – and lauds the arrival of women and students from many lands.
