ALL IS TRUE “But this is a charming, surprisingly salty take on a story that… is told less often than one might expect.” 4/5 – Irish Times
“If 1998’s thoroughly enjoyable and Oscar-winning Shakespeare in Love captured the man in the first bloom of genius then Branagh’s beautifully made and melancholic love letter is a fitting salute to the Bard as he slips off his mortal coil.” 4/5 – RTÉ
“All Is True is sentimental, theatrical, likable – and unfashionable” 4/5 – Guardian
“In this lovely ode to a literary master, Branagh shows us what his hero always understood – that life may be an endlessly unfolding mystery, but in art, all is true.” NPR
“It’s the absence of grandstanding, of Stoppardian showing off, that makes this film different, as a lovely meditation on what parts of a man’s legacy truly matter.” 4/5 – Telegraph
“A tender, intelligent imagining of the playwright in retirement.” Screen International
BOY ERASED “Building on his momentum from Manchester by the Sea and Lady Bird, Lucas Hedges delivers a performance of quiet dignity and evolving courage” 5/5 – RTÉ
“[A] heart-rending drama.” Hollywood Reporter
“Edgerton mostly steers his tale away from its more obvious dimensions focusing more on the confusion of decent people.” 4/5 – Time Out
“Proving again that he’s one of the best actors of his generation, Lucas Hedges shines alongside Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe in this harrowing real-life tale of a gay teen whose parents send him to conversion therapy” Rolling Stone
