In this heart-rending film from Iran, ten-year-old Sahand is growing up in wartime. After his mother has been killed, the boy and his family return to their home town to recover. When the grandfather takes Sahand and his sister fishing, the boy sees a white goose which reminds him of the colour of his mother’s dress. Forbidden to bring the bird home, Sahand slips out at night to find it in the darkening forest… In Farsi with English subtitles. AGE 10+
