In partnership with the Indian Film Festival of Ireland, we are delighted to welcome director Shyam Benegal, writer Atul Tiwari, and actress Divya Dutta to the IFI for this screening
of two episodes of this epic television series.

Focusing on the Constituent Assembly debates that took place between 1946 and 1949 and which ultimately created the constitution for a free and independent India, its depiction of such key figures as Jawaharlal Nehru, Vallabhbhai Patel, Rajendra Prasad and Abdul Kalam Azad and the machinations in which they engaged makes for compelling viewing.
