Gael Linn Programme

This year sees Gael Linn celebrate fifty years of acvievement in relation to the promotion of the Irish language and culture.
To mark this landmark occasion the Irish Film Archive will host a day-long programme of Gael Linn-related films. Titles to be screened include Louis Marcus’s award-winning overview of the 1966 music fleadh in Kilrush (Flea Ceoil), George Morrission’s epic Mise Eire (1959), and Pobal, People of Ireland (1969), one of a series of films produced by Gael Linn to popularise the Irish language through cinema. Further details will be published in a promotional leaflet and on the Institute website. Seats will be limited, so please purchase your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

Please note that the price of admission to Irish Film Archive screenings is €4.
