Throughout 2012 at the IFI, our focus on animation included an evening course, an Irish Animation Day and an IFI Family Festival Irish Animation Trail. To finish off the year, and in conjunction with the Dublin City of Science, we have a 3D event for students and enthusiasts of 3D animation on Saturday, December 1st (12.00 – 14.00):
1. French animators Paul-Emile Boucher and Alexandre Toufaili, two of the team behind Tuurngait (the award-winning graduate short film in stereoscopic 3D) will provide a masterclass on the making of their film.
2. The makers of the award-winning Irish 3D animation The Boy in the Bubble will present their short film and talk about the production process.
3. Francois Pitie of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at TCD will show the film Clockhead and talk through some of their demos.
Places are FREE but are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Advance bookings: 01 679 5744 or email boxoffice@irishfilm.ie
