She meets him several times and each time Dalí walks away, until producer Jerôme (Romain Duris) promises a filmed interview of Dalí with ‘the biggest camera in the world’. Dupieux (Mandibles, Deerskin, Smoking Causes Coughing) writes, directs, shoots, and edits this witty and eccentric character portrait, using multiple editing effects to create a story within a story within a story, replicating some of Dalí’s most indelible images, in a personal tribute to the multifaceted and flamboyant Catalan artist.
