It’s a late addition to the March programme but, with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Season in full swing, a chance to screen the brilliant new Slint documentary Breadcrumb Trail at the IFI was too tempting to pass up on. Lance Bangs’ excellent documentary tells the story of Louisville, Kentucky band Slint’s now massively influential, but at the time utterly ignored, 1991 album Spiderland. The documentary traces the development of the group, using amazing archive footage of its precursors, Squirrel Bait and Maurice, as well as of rehearsals of the nascent Spiderland tracks, to build up to the story of the recording and release of one of the finest albums of the last 30 years.
This special IFI screening will feature a live Q+A with the director Lance Bangs and takes place on the 26th March at 20.30.
Visit the IFI Breadcrumb Trail page for more information and to watch the trailer.
Tickets are available NOW so book online, in person at the IFI Box Office or call 01 679 3477.
