Wild Strawberries is our bi-monthly film club for over 55s.

The paucity of decent roles for older female actors is oft lamented, so when one comes along that is played with such verve by Susan Sarandon, there’s even more reason to cheer. As widow Marnie, she moves to LA to be close to her daughter, Lori, in whose life she tries to get involved. Resisting the advances of cop, Zipper (a Harley driving JK Simmons), the extent of her own loneliness becomes more apparent as she must learn again to live, love and let live in this tender comedy/drama.
