Are you a film or history student? Are you interested in Irish and international film heritage? Then why not join us on the afternoon of Thursday, October 9th in the IFI Tiernan MacBride Library and peruse our books, journals and cuttings from the IFI Irish Film Archive, enjoy a tour by IFI Librarian Fiona Rigney, and learn more about what you can gain for your research and film interests!
From 2pm to 6pm, you can drop in to the Library (located at the back of the IFI – simply ask at IFI reception) to see for yourself the wealth of material available to you. We’ll also be offering discounted Library and IFI annual Memberships, discounted DVDs from the IFI Film Shop as well as offering a free IFI Membership in our draw. We’ll also be giving away free film posters from the IFI collection!
Put it in your diary, and come along to explore all that is available to you!
(Please note that library tour groups are limited in numbers and will take place every 20 mins approx. There is no booking system however if you’re coming with a group, please email doreilly@irishfilm.ie with your expected time of arrival in advance).

About the Library:Named in honour of Tiernan MacBride, a founding father o f the Irish film industry, the library holds the largest collection of film publications in Ireland. The library catalogue includes a wide range of books on Irish and international cinema. Academics, students, teachers, filmmakers, researchers and film enthusiasts are all welcome to use the library’s facilities.
