A portrait of Italian avant-garde artist Aurelio Caminati (1922–2008), whose prophetic vision spanned six turbulent decades. Set against the baroque intensity of Ireland’s wild Atlantic coast following his journey to Ireland where he forged a deep connection with local people and the landscape, the film fuses the raw power of nature with this resistance master’s defiant, ever-evolving body of work which blurred the boundaries between art, politics, and ideology, and fuelled an uncompromising avant-garde legacy. The film captures Aurelio's provocative vision, along with the storms, solitude and creative spark that emerges from nature's fury and an artist's realization of nature as ultimate power source. Featuring original photographed artwork by artist Aurelio Caminati from the archives of the Caminati Estate and the University of Genoa.
