IFI FAMILY FESTIVAL 2024: BROWN BAG FILMS CELEBRATE 30 YEARS!

Brown Bag Films’s animation studio joins IFI Family Festival for a very special, fun-filled celebration of their 30th anniversary. Featuring screenings of their Oscar®-nominated short films Give Up Yer Aul Sins and Granny O’Grimm’s Sleeping Beauty, alongside episodes of favourite shows Karma’s World, Lu & The Bally Bunch, and Dee & Friends in Oz.

After the film, meet some Brown Bag people and learn about the art and craft of animation. 12.00-12.45 (6+ or 8+ activities)

For ages 6+: Watch, Colour and Draw with Artists, 2D Designer Maurycy and Junior 2D Designer Sudipta

For ages 8+: Show & Tell Presentation with animators Sinead, Laura, Maurycy, and Matthew. Get behind the scenes of making a successful animation series.

For our Family Festival, our IFI Film Archive colleagues have put together an animation themed mini-exhibition for Heritage Week, in association with Brown Bag Films. Follow our Trail guide, say hi to Granny O’Grimm and head on over to the exhibition to learn some more.

Exhibition times: Saturday 10.30-13.00 and Sunday 10.30-13.00
