Finding comfort or restoration in nature, a familiar cinema trope, gets a new twist in this beautiful film, an adaptation of the best-selling novel, with screenplay co-written by Emma Donoghue. Claire Foy stars as the bereaved woman whose father’s (Brendan Gleeson) death sends her into a downward spiral. A stubborn hawk, Mabel, motivates her to live again, in this evocative and moving take on grief, showing alongside IFI’s This Mortal Coil season. 

The screening on Wednesday 27th will be Open Captioned.
