Get your first taste of films from around the world (and your Festival Passport stamped), with these short films featuring some talking meatballs from Sweden, a couple of Russian moles, a little girl in Poland who finds peace among the leaves on a tree, and a swarm of bees.  Gorgeous animation and a lot of laughs in this lively selection. 

Macropolis

It’s rare to see a cat and a dog working together to save each other’s skin, but that’s the case in this tale of two toys that have been discarded from a factory production line. In order to reunite with their friends they go on an adventure in a big, unfamiliar city.

Krot na More/The Mole at the Sea

The seaside is where everybody is heading, except a mole. Desperate to get a glimpse of it all, the mole begins to dig and doesn’t stop until he reaches his destination. Though at first life at the seaside is peaceful, there isn’t any room left for the mole when the crowds get bigger and bigger. Will the mole get to enjoy himself at any point on his trip?
