Veterinary student Rose (Ann Skelly) is an only child who has always wanted to know who her biological parents are. Having traced her birth mother Ellen (Orla Brady) who has no wish to have any contact, Rose travels from Dublin to London to confront her unannounced, and discovers a secret hidden for over 20 years.
