Inside I’m Dancing

Director: Damien O'Donnell

Inside I’m Dancing sees two men fight to overcome disabilities and live exciting, independent lives in this uplifting tale from director Damien O’Donnell. Michael (Steven Robertson) has cerebral palsy and is drifting through life in a nursing home until the appearance of Rory (James McAvoy), a maverick whose fun-loving nature entirely belies his difficulties. Under Rory’s leadership the pair team up to escape the home and begin independent living, forming a bond that is quickly threatened by the appearance in their lives of attractive care worker Siobhan (Romola Garai). Filled with humour and pathos, this depiction of the difficulties many face in trying to have an ordinary life was released as Rory O’Shea Was Here in the USA.
