A warm, border-crossing love story and celebration of Mexican cuisine. Directed by Heidi Ewing (Jesus Camp), this hybrid drama follows Mexican migrants Ivan and Gerardo to the United States. Through the evocative power of food and memory, this film vividly represents the high price migrants pay for the American Dream.

The screening will be introduced by Dr. Melissa Mora Hidalgo, California State University, Long Beach, a pioneering scholar of Mexican food culture in Ireland.
