When a mysterious ecological event severely impacts England’s north-east coast, veteran fisherman Stan Rennie finds his community and livelihood under threat. Jeanie Finlay’s (The Great Hip Hop Hoax; Your Fat Friend) wry David and Goliath story follows Stans’ transformation into an unlikely activist and campaigner for justice. Compassionate and humane, Finlay’s film is a powerful portrait of ordinary people confronting extraordinary circumstances.
