Fergie Chambers, heir to one of the biggest fortunes in the United States, has rejected his family and their values and establishes a communist collective in rural Massachusetts, bestowing his largesse on like-minded political groups around the world. Sinéad O’Shea (Blue Road: the Edna O’Brien Story) follows Chambers over several years as impulsivity and enormous wealth carry him from the US to Tunisia to Ireland, abandoning people and projects in his wake.
