IFI DOCFEST: WOMEN IN FILM AND TELEVISION IRELAND – WOMEN TELLING TALES

This event took place on Saturday 26th  September 2015.

The panel, presented by WIFT, will discuss the role of women in documentary filmmaking – internationally and in Ireland – and will ask why documentary film appears to draw far more women than other forms (in 2014/15 29% of documentaries in A-list festivals in the US were directed by women compared to 18% of narrative features). It will also explore the societal impact of this work and question whether “women’s issues” are better represented in documentary or drama film.

Tickets: €5 (Includes Tea & Coffee), Booking Essential. Further details will be announced shortly.

This event is part of the IFI Documentary Festival (Sept 23-27)
