SCREENING WEDNESDAY JUNE 3rd

Smalltown hustler Trojan Eddie (Stephen Rea) falls foul of violent Traveller boss John Power (Richard Harris) when he helps his sidekick (Stuart Townsend) to steal Power’s young bride (Aislinn McGuckin) and her dowry from under Power’s nose. Though more reductive in its representation of Traveller culture than would pass muster today, this slow-burning, character drama, written by Billy Roche, features star turns from Rea and Harris and from Brendan Gleeson, Brid Brennan, Dolores Keane and Pecker Dunne.
