In August of this year, the IFI had the singular pleasure of presenting the work of self-taught filmmaker Neil Breen on the big screen in Ireland for the very first time. As a special Christmas treat for those who missed it (and those who didn’t), we are delighted to present this reprise screening. Cade: The Tortured Crossing sees Breen take on an impressive variety of roles behind the camera, as well as taking the lead role of Cade Altair, a superpowered AI who trains the inmates of a mysterious mental asylum as brave warriors for humanity and justice.
