BACKROOMS

A therapist (Renate Reinsve) ventures into a mysterious, liminal dimension after her patient (Chiwetel Ejiofor) vanishes through a strange doorway in a furniture showroom. As she searches the seemingly endless labyrinth of anonymous spaces, she begins to feel that she might not be alone. Kane Parsons’s Backrooms expands upon his instantly recognisable viral videos, creating a distinctly cinematic story while retaining the unsettling ambiguity and unique analogue horror aesthetic.

This film contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
