This screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Frank Shouldice, Bobby Coote and DOP Dave Perry.

Eighty-something Cavan bachelor Bobby Coote left school at 13 and says his reading and writing isn’t great. He spends his days fixing clocks and making violins from old furniture. But he’s never lost sight of a lifelong dream to take to the skies. Inviting the help of his neighbour Sean, and the derision of his brother Ernie, Bobby sets about building a runway and a hangar and investing his life savings in his own private plane.

Recommended for ages 12+.

Screening as part of the IFI Documentary Festival 2018, which runs from the 27th – 30th of September. Full details here.
