Our own Publicity Assistant Michelle McDonagh recently returned from a trip to Japan, where she saw many sights and even encountered a cherry blossom or two!
Along the way she got the chance to visit the Studio Ghibli Museum at Mitaka, just outside Tokyo. This is a place which celebrates the magic of one of Japan’s most famous export – the heartwarming and visually stunning animations which have been coming out of Ghibli since its formation in 1985.
Those films include Spirited Away, Grave of the Fireflies, My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Howl’s Moving Castle and many more. This week we’re delighted to be opening a new film which was co-produced by Studio Ghibli – The Red Turtle.
To celebrate, we’re sharing some photos of the museum which is absolutely worth a visit if you happen to be travelling to Japan, especially for fans of this wonderful studio!
The Red Turtle opens on May 26th. Tickets available here.
