The IFI hosted a successful Fundraiser screening of John Ford’s The Searchers on Monday 4th March 2013 as a gesture of thanks for the kind and compassionate care received by our late colleague programmer Pete Walsh at the Our Lady’s Hospice in Harold’s Cross. Many family members, colleagues, friends and loyal IFI goers attended to watch a beautful digital print of The Searchers. Speeches were made by Ross Keane and Alicia McGivern of the IFI, Anne Julian of Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services, and Pete’s nephew James
We’re pleased to announce that the total raised on the night was €2442.78 which will go towards Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services vital work. To make a donation or find out more about the Hospice visit their website.
‘It’s All Culture’, a selection of Pete Walsh’s favourite films reflecting his huge knowlege, passion and expertise in film will run throughout March. For more information visit the ‘It’s All Culture’ Season Page
