Taking the instantly familiar and oft-parodied black and white photograph of construction workers eating lunch perched comfortably atop a beam suspended hundreds of feet above street level in 1930s’ New York as its focus, Men at Lunch considers the social and historical backdrop to this popular but nevertheless enigmatic image, as well as its evolving legacy both in the States and further afield.
Win a pair of FREE tickets to a special screening of the film at 18.30 on Friday, February 1st which will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers, Sean and Eamon O’Cualain! This screening will be in Irish (with English subtitles).
