Ireland on Sunday is our monthly showcase for new Irish film. 

Filmed over a two-year period, Natural Grace is an in-depth, intimate portrait of Martin Hayes, one of Ireland’s greatest fiddlers and a leading exponent of traditional Irish music.

The film celebratesthe talent of this truly great musician and journeys with him from his home in East Clare to the U.S. and Japan where he plays in informal and concert settings.

Filmmaker Art Ó Briain reveals Hayes to be an eloquent champion of traditional and contemporary Irish music, and presents striking images of the Irish landscape as a backdrop to his exquisite music. The third in a trilogy of film portraits, Natural Grace was voted best Irish Feature Documentary at the Galway Film Fleadh 2012.
