THE LAST VIKING

Director: ANDERS THOMAS JENSEN

116 mins, Denmark-Sweden, 2025, Digital, Subtitled

Released from prison after fifteen years, Anker (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) sets out to recover the loot he entrusted to his brother, Manfred (Mads Mikkelsen), who suffers from dissociative disorder; however, Manfred is now convinced he is John Lennon, and can’t remember where he has hidden it. Blending deadpan absurdity, violence action, and a heartfelt engagement with childhood traumas, The Last Viking is another richly eccentric Scandinavian noir-comedy from Anders Thomas Jensen (Riders of Justice), one of Denmark’s most distinctive filmmakers.
