Terrence Malick’s The Thin Red Line follows a group of American soldiers fighting and trying to survive in the Pacific during WW2. One of Malick’s more linear stories, the film is a powerful look at the reality of war and what it does to all involved. Renowned for its gorgeous cinematography and brilliant ensemble of actors, The Thin Red Line is a deeply human, anti-war film that is scarily relevant given the times we’re living through.
