IFI & DIFF together present a veritable feast of new Irish work funded by the Arts Council.
Three new films made through the Arts Council’s Reel Art scheme will be unveiled, each exploring artistic practice in modes that are themselves artistic, original and aesthetically driven. The films Conor Walsh: Selected Piano Works, Don’t Forget to Remember and The Swimming Diaries investigate the loss of friends and family while celebrating their legacies. Tadhg O’Sullivan’s The Swallow (recipient of the Arts Council’s Authored Works Award 2020) and Colin Hickey’s Perennial Light explore new forms in work which is both experimental and assured. Fans of Brendan Gleeson and traditional Irish music will enjoy Farewell to Hughes’s, a film commissioned by the Irish Traditional Music Archive.
Tickets available through DIFF at diff.ie.
