The much-loved stalwarts of British stage and screen, Jim Broadbent and Penelope Wilton, star in this adaptation of Rachel Joyce’s bestselling novel. When Harold Fry, an unassuming pensioner, decides to go and post a letter, who could expect his short trip to turn into a long, adventure-filled trek from Devon to Berwick-upon-Tweed, where his old colleague is in a hospice. While undoubtedly implausible in terms of walking kit and resources, Harold’s encounters are rich and life-enhancing as he reflects on his own life and its ups and downs.
