This event took place on Wednesday 4th October 2017. 

Celebrating the centenary of the first issue of the Irish Events newsreel in 1917, Denis Condon and Ciara Chambers will present an illustrated lecture exploring the production which ran for several years. Produced by Norman Whitten of the General Film Supply Co this was the only indigenous newsreel documenting this turbulent period in Irish history.
