Did the film Eat Drink Man Woman make your mouth water? The IFI is celebrating those celluloid sensory moments with its new strand of film and dining experiences, Feast Your Eyes. We begin on Tuesday, August 21st with a special package where you pay just €20 to enjoy a screening of Mid-August Lunch – the multi-award-winning debut from Italian actor and screenwriter Gianni Di Gregorio – and then enjoy an Italian meal with a glass of wine in the IFI Café Bar. A meal inspired from the film itself, choose from the following Italian meals: Parmesan encrusted chicken breast fillet served with asparagus and penne mariana; Seafood Risotto with Salmon, clam and mussels with basil pesto and parmesan shavings; or Tagliatelle with seasonal roasted vegetables, sun-dried tomatoes and olives served with garlic bread. Veruska Anconitano, a journalist and food blogger, will introduce the screening and will be joined by Corinna Salvadori Lonergan,FTCD, Associate Professor (Emeritus), President A.I.P.I., Italian Department, Trinity College, for a short discussion after the film.
