Wonder House is a meditative, mesmerising journey through rooms full of exciting ideas and striking visual concepts. This debut film from London-based Irish filmmaker Oonagh Kearney is an experimental work which combines documentary with a loose fictional narrative to explore the attractions of art and science. The film explores how curious young minds are engaged by childhood objects and environment. A young girl wanders through an old house, captivated by the scientific phenomena she encounters in a series of beautifully choreographed dance sequences, playful stop-motion animation and the recorded voices of real scientists recalling their first encounters with science.
