A celebration of a unique community of artists, Living Colour concerns itself with the talents rather than the special needs of the people who attend the Kilkenny Centre for Arts Talent (KCAT). With art offering them a means of communication that often their speech cannot, KCAT provides an empowering atmosphere that allows its users to produce artworks and organise for their exhibition and sale. An observational, un-intrusive documentary, anecdotes told throughout relate how the bullying and excessive supervision, experienced by the artists in other environments, are absent from KCAT. Living Colour offers insight into both the nature and importance of art as a means of expression and the value of centres such as KCAT.
