WILD TALES

Director: DAMIÁN SZIFRÓN

122 minutes, Argentina-Spain, 2014, Subtitled, Colour

This film was released on Friday 27th March 2015 and is no longer screening.

The passengers on an aeroplane are disturbed when they begin to realise they all have something in common; a waitress in a late night diner recognises a customer as a corrupt loan shark who caused her family grief; a businessman has cause to regret giving the finger to a truck driver while driving along a country road; an architect is confronted with bureaucracy and extortionate fines when his car is impounded, causing him to miss his daughter’s birthday; a wealthy father enters into some morally complex negotiations as he attempts to cover up his son’s involvement in a hit-and-run accident; and an incident at a Jewish wedding reception causes events to take a dark turn. . .these six tales of ordinary madness make up Damián Szifrón’s wickedly delirious film, a compendium of stories about everyday pressures, delicious revenge and the delights of losing control. (Notes by Michael Hayden.)

Don’t forget we now schedule weekly.

Note: In light of the recent plane crash tragedy in the Alps, please be aware that Wild Tales features a sequence that some customers might find disturbing.
