The weekend of the 16 to 19 of November sees the fifth Motorola Irish Animation Festival with more than 150 individual animated films screening at the IFC during the weekend. The theme of the festival this year is The Role of Technology in the Animation Industry and you will be able to talk to experts and try out software.

On Friday 17 November there will be a screening of Japanese animated films while the morning of Saturday, 18 November will feature a Children’s showcase.

The big event of the Festival is the Irish permiere of For the Birds, the latest short production from Pixar and directed by Ralph Eggleston with John Lassiter as executive producer.
