As audiences wait for details of the tenth and supposedly final film by Quentin Tarantino, the two separate volumes of Kill Bill are now revised and released as a single epic tale of betrayal and revenge. With new footage including the restoration of the film’s mythical anime sequence, The Whole Bloody Affair represents an entirely new experience of the world of the Bride (Uma Thurman), whose attempt to leave the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad is met with violent retribution from her former colleagues, led by Bill (Keith Carradine), such that she is left in a coma. Waking up four years later, she vows revenge upon her attackers, including O-ren Ishii (Lucy Liu), Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah), Budd (Tarantino favourite the late Michael Madsen), all on her way to Bill himself. Filled with bravura set pieces and crackling dialogue, this is one of Tarantino’s wildest rides.
