During a series of exhilarating gigs, heavy metal drummer Reuben Stone (Riz Ahmed) begins to experience hearing loss. In a whirlwind of uncertainty, his girlfriend Lou (Olivia Cooke) checks him into a facility for people who are deaf. As Reuben settles into his new life, he is confronted with a difficult decision; accept his new normal or attempt to return to his old life?
