Now in its 12th year, IFI Spotlight is a key pillar in the development of public discourse around the Irish Film and Television industry. This event provides a critical framework within which trends in recent production, distribution, and representation are identified.

In 2024 we welcome again Dr. Roddy Flynn (DCU) and Dr. Tony Tracy (University of Galway), who will offer their incisive review of the year, exploring legislative and other developments in the industry and providing critical analysis of the film and television output of the year. A select panel of practitioners, policy makers, and commentators will respond to this review and will present their own reflections on the state of the Irish Film Industry today.
