Jeanne (Clara Pacini), a 16-year-old runaway, takes refuge in a film studio where she falls under the spell of the enigmatic Cristina (Marion Cotillard), who is starring in an adaptation of The Snow Queen. A mutual but potentially dangerous fascination begins to grow between the actress and the girl. As Jeanne becomes increasingly entranced by the Snow Queen’s icy realm, the boundary between the real and the imagined begins to blur, but does Jeanne love the Queen enough to make the sacrifice she demands? A dark, mesmerising modern fairy tale.
