Eleven-year-old Mick is sent to live with Grandpa on a cattle station in Western Australia. He feels completely isolated until he comes across a paint-covered red pup he names Blue.

The two become instant friends and embark on a series of adventures across sun-soaked, rugged landscapes in this hugely rewarding tale of a boy’s best friend.
