Irish Film Institute -Father Mother Sister Brother

Father Mother Sister Brother

Director: Jim Jarmusch

Jim Jarmusch, master of the droll vignette, contemplates family dynamics in a triptych of thematically linked stories concerning the relationships between adult children, their estranged or deceased parents, and each other, and does so in typically cool and laconic fashion. With locations in the US, Dublin, and Paris, and a stellar cast that includes Tom Waits, Charlotte Rampling, Adam Driver, and Vicky Krieps, Jarmusch’s poignant, beautifully observed film was a deserving winner of the Golden Lion at the 2025 Venice Film Festival.
