Through family connections, he is assigned the much-coveted job of working on a new translation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince. Moving to Saigon, he meets his neighbour Kỳ Nam, a reserved widow of a Southern Vietnamese officer who now cooks for a living. Beautifully captured on 35mm, this slow-paced, lyrical tale explores conflicting desires and chance encounters.
