Nicholas and Isabel are made for each other, but fate does not always choose the easiest path to true love.

Nicholas’ father, William has abandoned his family to move to the West of Ireland to become an artist. Meanwhile Isabel and her family’s charmed existence on a remote western island is broken when her brother suffers a terrible accident. In their grief her parents send Isabel to school on the mainland. The young lovers embark on their own individual journeys of heartache and misplaced love, before fate pulls the threads of their lives together. When they meet, it will be like a miracle.
