October 29th, 2025: November at the Irish Film Institute (IFI) offers our audiences a truly wide-ranging programme of dynamic, inspiring, and well-crafted films. From highly-anticipated new releases, including Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love (Irish Premiere at the IFI on Wednesday 5th), Alpha, and Pillion, special events such as the Q&A screenings of new documentaries Zodiac Killer Project and David Keenan – Focla Ar Chanbhás, and culminating with our flagship festival, IFI French Film Festival – Ireland’s largest French cultural event which shines a light on the wonderful world of French-language cinema. All that, and much more!
And remember, film buffs nationwide can explore a host of incredible Irish and world cinema from the comfort of the couch on IFI@Home, anywhere in the Republic of Ireland!

November Programme Highlights
Festivals Wednesday 19th – Sunday 30th Now in its 26th year, the IFI French Film Festival returns to present an exciting programme of films and documentaries from some of the world’s greatest filmmakers. This year’s festival will include 22 Irish premieres, a collection of brilliant comedies and dramas, thought-provoking documentaries, and a beautifully animated film for all the family. As always, the IFI French Film Festival will be the only opportunity for audiences to experience many of the films on the big screen.

IFI Special Events Monday 3rd This month, we’re delighted to welcome back filmmaker Charlie Shackleton (The Afterlight) to the IFI to present his latest work, Zodiac Killer Project – a wholly original film that puts the true crime boom under the microscope. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Charlie Shackleton.
Thursday 6th Our Irish Focus strand this month presents David Keenan – Focla Ar Chanbhás, a new documentary which offers an intimate insight into the work and creative process of Dundalk musician David Keenan. This screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Paddy Hayes and David Keenan.
Tuesday 11th The From The Vaults strand this month presents Sweety Barrett, the feature debut from filmmaker Stephen Bradley starring Brendan Gleeson as the protagonist, alongside Lynda Steadman, Liam Cunningham, Andrew Scott, and Cillian Murphy. The screening will be introduced by Stephen Bradley.
Wednesday 12th Winner of the Rebels With A Cause award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film festival, join us this month for a special screening of drama Five and a Half Love Stories in an Apartment in Vilnius, Lithuania, which sees director Tomas Vengris deftly weave narratives to illustrate a variety of love stories involving international visitors to an Airbnb in the Lithuanian capital.
Monday 17th This November, the IFI Youth Panel programmes a special screening of Sidney Lumet’s Dog Day Afternoon. One of the best films of its era, with career-best performances from Al Pacino and John Cazale, this screening is one not to be missed!
