Peter Dunn RIP

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing on 16th September of Peter Dunn of the Radharc Trust. For many decades we have had the great pleasure of working with Peter to preserve and celebrate the legacy of Radharc, the film production company co-founded by his brother Father Joe Dunn. Between 1961 and 1996 Radharc made over 400 documentaries in 75 countries, skilfully exploring political, cultural, religious, and human rights issues – often in dangerous territories. In their film making, the team strove for excellence in their craft and upheld values of truth, integrity and fairness.
Peter Dunn continued to uphold these values through exhibition and broadcast of the work and through the annual Radharc Awards which recognise high standards of craft, content, and commitment in films about national or global issues pertaining to social justice, spirituality, human rights  and heritage.
Over our years of partnership on the preservation and exhibition of the film collection,  Peter has been endlessly gracious and generous in his enthusiastic accommodation of our various projects.
We could have wished for no kinder or more accommodating a collaborator.
Our condolences to Peter’s family and to his colleagues in the Trust.
