IFI HORRORTHON 2022 PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED

Save the date, if you dare… IFI Horrorthon 27th – 31st October

Dates have been announced for the always popular IFI Horrorthon which will take place this October from 27th – 31st at the Irish Film Institute, Eustace Street. ifi.ie 

As always, IFI Horrorthon features the best new work, Irish and international, to have appeared on the festival circuit, presenting these titles alongside previews of the most anticipated upcoming releases.

The line-up will include new titles to experience: 

  • Final Cut, The opening film of this year’s Cannes Film Festival,directed by Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist). A remake of the Japanese film One Cut Of The Dead, Final Cut stars Romain Duris and Bérénice. View the trailer HERE.
  • King On Screen, a new documentary about screen adaptations of Stephen King’s work with contributions from artists including Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile). View the trailer HERE.
  • Something In The Dirt, the much anticipated new film from Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, directors of Spring (2014) and The Endless (2017). View the trailer HERE.

 

Older classics and familiar films to rediscover on the big screen: 

  • Including a number of new restorations of films by Dario Argento among which will be the classic Suspiria (1977), and a twentieth anniversary screening of the new restoration of Neil Marshall’s Dog Soldiers (2002).

Tickets cost €11.50 for IFI Members, €13.00 for non-Members. Multi-film passes are available from the IFI Box Office, in-person or over the phone on 01 679 3477. Purchase a 5-film pass for €50, a 10-film pass for €90, and a full festival 5-day pass for €150. Early bird 5-day pass costs only €120, available until Monday, October 10th at 21.00.
